Methods in population biology

which will be held at the Department of Botany, Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic from 16th to 20th February, 2009.
The aim of the course is to provide introduction into techniques used to model population dynamics. The course will consist of introduction to each topic, followed by practical analysis of example datasets and discussion of the results. Own data of the participants are welcome. The examples used will be based on plants, but the techniques apply to other organisms as well.

12th Congress of the European Society for Evolutionary Biology

The congress will cover the field of evolutionary biology in a wide sense, but with emphasis on processes and mechanisms of evolutionary phenomena. The congress follows the format of previous meetings with a plenary keynote speaker, followed by several parallel symposia.
